La pratique
Cette invitation propose une sĂ©ries dâexercices physiques dans la lignĂ©e du Continuum, approche du mouvement somatique dĂ©veloppĂ©e par Emilie Conrad (1934-2014). Câest une approche trĂšs efficace pour renforcer la tonicitĂ©, lâĂ©lasticitĂ© et la robustesse du tissu conjonctif. La pratique aide Ă rĂ©veiller les fluides qui sont prĂ©sents dans les tissues corporels et les cellules, elle draine en douceur les toxines, et permet de retrouver souplesse et connexion. Elle permet aussi de coordonner la respiration et ses rythmes sur nos mouvements, et Ă dĂ©velopper plus de capacitĂ© respiratoire et cardiaque. DiffĂ©rent systĂšmes sont convoquĂ©s comme le support des fascias, des organes, des glandes dans lâexercice du mouvement.
Le Continuum Playground augmente la vitalitĂ©, Ă©veille la crĂ©ativitĂ© et les sensations plaisantes d’ĂȘtre en mouvement, rĂ©duit les limitations physiques, amĂ©liore la flexibilitĂ© et la robustesse, renforce nos os et facilite la confiance en notre intelligence corporelle.
Contrairement Ă un entraĂźnement musculaire, cette pratique nous invite Ă ressentir le champ gravitationnel comme support d’engagement ludique avec la tensĂ©gritĂ© des tissus corporels et du rĂ©seau fascial dans son ensemble, offrant de nouvelles possibilitĂ©s crĂ©atives pour l’expression du mouvement et l’amĂ©lioration posturale. La combinaison d’activation des fluides, d’engagement structurel et spatial non linĂ©aire, de micro-mouvements et de mobilisation tissulaire ouvre des possibilitĂ©s de rĂ©gĂ©nĂ©ration, de dĂ©sintoxication et de guĂ©rison des tissus corporels.

The practice
Continuum invites us to explore our intrinsic nature as fluid and creative beings. Continuum Playground is an aspect of this inquiry where, through fun, vigorous and playful exploration, we explore what fitness is and redefine the notion of strength, core and flexibility.
Through a rich variety of breath, sound, and multidimensional movement explorations, we experience our capacity for free, flowing, non-constrained expression. When we invigorate our fluid nature by varying our relationship to gravity, we render ourselves adaptable and resilient. Rather than repetitively sculpting and isolating particular body parts or muscles, we focus on the strength of the entire system . We play and discover instead of being told how to move.
Our movement repertoire expands as we follow the patterns of water:spirals, arcs, curves, and waves. Various props, weights, balls, rollers, bands and chairs may be used in different relationships to gravity with rhythmic variety.
Continuum Playground increases vitality, awakens creativity and play, reduces physical limitations, enhances flexibility and strength, strengthens our bones, and facilitates trust in the bodyâs wisdom.
As opposed to a muscular workout, continuum playground invites us to feel the gravitational field as a support to engage playfully with the tensegrity of bodily tissues & fascial network as a whole, allowing possibilities for finding new and creative pathways for movement expression and postural enhancement. The combination of fluid activation, non linear structural & spatial engagement, micro movements & tissular mobilisation open possibilities for tissues regeneration, detoxification and healing.
